12/13 Green Team Meeting Data UPDATED

I realize that the data I shared on Monday is a bit dense and not exactly very readable, and that some may not have checked the blog to comment on it.  So, I tried a new interface for the slides, with more explanation throughout the graphics.

Also, after looking through the presentation, I would appreciate if you click on the survey link at the end and fill out your preferences and additional thoughts.

Thanks for the discussion!

I had an error in square footage for Split Rock Lighthouse. Once fixed, it doesn't change the results too much in terms of whether or not we should study Split Rock.

But, it does bring up a good point about square footages and what is included or not.

The problem is how the utility bill data clumps things, so for some sites I have a propane or fuel oil consumption values for the whole winter for 2 or 3 buildings combined, but then I have 1 electricity meter for the whole site of 5 buildings (this is a hypothetical site). In most cases, I go with a summarizing of data in terms of the most broad utility bill. So if I have only 1 electric meter for the whole site, then the whole site's square footage (buildings only) is included. Of course, if there are structures that don't have electricity, those are not included.

As I get more equipment data together, we will be able to determine energy use by structure. This will then give more accurate reflections of square footage. For now though, the rougher estimates by site are still useful to determine the general magnitude of the site's energy use.
